Monarch Closet Scholarship

Amount: $700 Annually (Awarded every Spring semester)

Funded by 50% of the proceeds from our community events, the Monarch Closet is proud to offer this annual scholarship to support LAVC students. Please review the eligibility requirements and answer the following prompt in your application:

Essay Prompt: Our mission is focused on increasing accessibility of essential items to improve the well-being of every student. In your essay, please share how this scholarship will relieve financial pressure and help you achieve your educational goals.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Enrolled Student: Must be a currently enrolled student at Los Angeles Valley College (LAVC).

  • Academic Standing: Must hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

  • Unit Requirement: Must be enrolled in at least 6 units.

  • Submission: Must complete the application form below and submit a short, original essay (maximum 500 words).
